God Made People

Still on the sixth day, God did something very special. God said, "Let us make man in our image." So God made people, a man and a woman. He made them in His own image. That means people are special and different from the animals. People can know God, talk to God, and love God. God blessed the man and the woman. He told them to have children and fill the earth. He gave them the job of taking care of the fish, the birds, and every living thing. God also gave them plants and fruit trees for food. Then God looked at everything He had made. He did not just say it was good. God saw that it was very good! God made you too. He made your eyes, your hands, your smile, and your heart. There is no one else just like you. You are made by God, and He loves you very much.
