Jesus Loves Children
Today's Bible story
From Mark 10:13-16
Jesus went from town to town teaching people about God. Big crowds came to hear Him. One day, some people brought their children to Jesus. They wanted Jesus to touch the children and bless them. But Jesus' helpers, called disciples, told the people to stop. Maybe they thought Jesus was too busy for kids. When Jesus saw this, He was not happy with the disciples. He said, "Let the little children come to me. Do not stop them. The kingdom of God belongs to people like these." Jesus said that everyone must come to God like a little child, with a trusting heart. Then Jesus did something wonderful. He took the children up in His arms. He put His hands on them, and He blessed them. Jesus was never too busy for children. He is not too busy for you either. You can talk to Him anytime, and He loves you very much.
Verse to remember
“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 19:14 (KJV)
Talk about it
- Why did the people bring their children to Jesus?
- What did Jesus do when the disciples tried to send the children away?
- When can you talk to Jesus?
Pray
Jesus, thank You for loving children like me. Thank You that You are never too busy to hear me. Help me trust You with all my heart. Amen.
